Daily routine at Christ Church Pre School
9.15 - 9.20 Everyone welcome and find your name
- All children are encouraged to hang their own bags and coats on their named peg.
- All children are encouraged to find their own name and stick it on the registration board.
9:20 – 9:40 Free play
- Everyone is allowed to freely explore the provision in the setting for the day and engage themselves in the activities of their choice.
9:40 -9.50 Toilet run.
- All children are encouraged to use the toilet, taken in small groups, and supervised by an adult.
9:50 – 10:30 Focused time including:
- adult led creative station.
- adult led maths and literacy activities.
- Special time for children with SEN, EAL or advanced children
- Indoor physical games (maze run/bridge walk/tent/stepping stones/ beam walk etc)
10:30 – 10:45 Snack time
- Healthy snacks (fruits, toast, crackers, breadsticks, milk and water) are provided for everyone. These are distributed according to children’s dietary needs and known allergies.
10:45 – 11:00 Story time
- In the book corner children look at their own books and an adult reads to them.
- On Wednesdays, this time is replaced by Yoga session.
11:00 – 12:00 Outdoor play
- We all enjoy the garden with a wide variety of games, races, sand and water play, chalking on the ground, bikes, bouncy balls etc.
- Club Explorer takes place during this time, as well.
12:00 – 12:15 Circle time
- Singing and saying goodbye for the day
- Children collect their creative work to go home.
